Holmfirth Art & Music was formed in May 2007 with the aim of supporting and encouraging the development of art and music in Holmfirth and the Holme Valley by raising the profile of the area as an art and music destination.

The initial idea was developed by Andrew Otterburn, then Chairman of the Holme Valley Parish Council, and is now run by a Management Comitee comprising:
