Rosalind Annis
Rosalind Annis is a local artist to the Holme Valley working primarily in pastels. Having previously had a gallery in Holmfirth she now works from her own studio next to her home, balancing work with bringing up a young family. Rosalind has collectors of her work all over the world including Australia and Japan. She regularly draws inspiration from the local changing landscape, northern coastlines and stately homes and gardens and is happy to carry out commissioned works and portraits.

Darren Baker

Darren, a graduate of Bradford Art College, is one of the country’s leading painters within the classical realism genre. After graduation he has striven to perfect his technique and vision inspired by several Old masters and contemporary realist painters. His talent was recognised early after leaving college and was selected for a unique show of UK artists in New York (2000). In the same year he was appointed official artist of The Professional Footballer’s Association. He has received numerous awards including best artist at the fine art trade guild ceremony in London and The Garrick Prize, Christies, London. In 2005 he was named Yorkshire Young Achiever in the arts. His London gallery regularly shows his work to acclaim and his new works are eagerly anticipated at international art fairs. Darren’s paintings hang in private and public collections, including Downing St and St James Palace, at home and abroad.

Jeff Beaumont

Jeff Beaumont has lived within two miles of Holmfirth all his life and paints watercolour landscapes - mostly views around the south Pennines. He has succesfully exhibited at Holmfirth Artweek over the last 25 years and has had regular exhibitions in and around the Holme Valley including Lupton Square Gallery, Honley, the White Rose Gallery in Holmfirth and the A.C Gallery in Huddersfield. Booth House Gallery
First opened in 1975 as a studio and sales outlet for sculptor and ceramicist Jim Robison, the gallery is housed in an early 19th Century barn with a unique queen post beamed ceiling. The warm coloured stone walls and wood floors are a perfect foil for ceramics of all kinds as well as paintings and other artwork.

Sue Clay

Felting and non woven fabric construction became a passion whilst studying an MA in design at Leeds University. She now teaches this in her studio and in residencies in schools, colleges and other venues throughout the country. She also creates a range of fashion textiles, accessories and wall hangings, which she exhibits internationally. Sue's experiences as an Expedition Artist working in remote parts of Kenya proved to be the catalyst that inspired her to work with the medium of wool in felting. She takes a holistic view of her work which is increasingly based around the four themes of Art + Workshops + Felt + Therapy. Brendan Hesmondhalgh
Sculpturelounge studios was set up in 2001 by artist Brendan Hesmondhalgh and is now home to artists David Cooke, Jo Cooke and Martin Norman. In 2006 a visual arts project management team was created and also in 2006 the sculpture lounge studios launched its school offering workshops in clay sculpture and moulding and casting.

Ashley Jackson

Andrew Jenkin
I was brought up in Honley, and my studio is at Armitage Bridge. I have been painting full-time now for 8 years, my main business being the painting and printing of greetings cards, which depict landscapes and views of West Yorkshire and the North-East. I also teach watercolour classes at the North Light Art School in Armitage Bridge, and am the Secretary of the Huddersfield Art Society.

Celia Kilner

Mick Kirkby-Geddes

Mick Kirkby-Geddes is a sculptor who uses everyday objects and scrap metal to create his own personal style of work. He has a very keen eye for finding interesting forms within what most people would regard as junk. He then transforms these shapes into new and fascinating objects, which have included figures, animals, insects, clocks, gates, railings and flowers. "It gives them a different slant and hopefully a touch of humour".

David Roberts
David Roberts, a distinguished English Potter, has established himself as a leading international practitioner in Raku ceramics. He is acknowledged in the community of ceramicists as being responsible for introducing and promoting modern, large scale, Raku in Britain. In his exploration of a technique which has its origin in the making of small vessels for the Tea Ceremony in late sixteenth-century Japan, David Roberts has transformed it into a vibrant and contemporary art form. His work can be found in public and private collections in Europe and America.

Based in the Pennine market town of Holmfirth, Helen is a photographer exclusively involved in portraiture. Her portraits are inspired by her family's long tradition in professional photography, now spanning four generations.
